Accessible equipment blog

Let’s get right to it, my delve into mental health and teaching has led my career path off on a bit of a tangent into rehabilitation engineering which is a fantastic and fascinating way to spend my time. I have the joy of working for the NHS across several services; wheelchair and posture; environmental access technology, and gait lab. As interesting as wheelchairs and gait lab are my focus for this blog will be to look at environmental access technology (EAT). There is a plethora of technology out there to help with a variety of tasks for people that require assistance I’m hoping that this blog will help educate people about what is out there and the potential way it can help so watch this space. In the meantime, check out this great Ted talk by Elise Roy on designing for disability.
